Rookie to Riders on F 800 GSA's29.07.2017
Our first Rookie to Rider successors on F 800 GSA's picked up their bikes and equipment ready to hit the open road.
Mark Roxburgh and Matt Kitchin (25) came in together in tow with Matt's dad (awaiting test) ready to start their adventure. They all work together in a catering supplies company owned by Matt's dad. Steve took them under his wing and thoroughly went through how the Rookie to Rider scheme works. Within two months of signing up, they are back to collect their bikes and start living in the fast lane. They decided on completing a direct access course from a Wednesday through to Tuesday where they had their test and training, and passed with flying colours (worth £1,295). The bikes were decided on from day one, and what a choice they made with Mark upgrading his kit with off-road tyres and a sat nav mount.
No doubt they'll be back for panniers once they find the open roads. They completed the look with GS Dry suits (jacket and pants), System 6 Helmets, GS Dry Gloves and Pro Touring boots. (As a centre, we give you up to the value of £1,465, anything over is surplus)
Safe to say we have a friendship for life here. The guys are awaiting for Matt's dad to pass (due to an injury, the test was delayed), then they can start looking at their first 'business trip' away. Enjoy guys.
