After his crash yesterday Troy Corser has been given the green light to ride in today’s sessions at Misano.
Misano, 11th June 2011. Good news for Team BMW Motorrad Motorsport and works rider, Troy Corser. After his heavy crash in yesterday’s first Qualifying Session, the Australian has been cleared to continue participating at the sixth round of the FIM Superbike World Championship 2011 at Misano (ITA).
After his highsider Troy was taken to the Medical Centre yesterday afternoon. According to the first medical checks he suffered no serious injuries, but severe bruising on his lower back, his right hip and right elbow. He also has some abrasions to the skin. This morning another examination at the Medical Centre followed and Troy was given the green light to ride.
Troy Corser:
“I am okay. Actually I feel better than I thought I would this morning. I am still a bit stiff on my back and my hip. But I had a good night of sleep, so we will see. Generally I feel not too bad. I know that it is going to be hard work on the bike. I will do just some laps this morning. It is good that we tested here, so we do not have to do a lot of laps as we have a pretty good setting for the bike already.”
